Hawley began working in private practice as an intern and has had the privilege of a full time private practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2010. She is humbled and honored by the opportunity to be a part of the healing process for individuals, couples and families through her practice.

Hawley is a clinical member of the Academy for Eating Disorders, the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS) and the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD) as well as other organizations. Hawley specializes in treating complex trauma and healing attachment and relational issues in the context of individual therapy as well as family and couple therapy. As an EMDR Certified Therapist, she uses an attachment-focused, somatically-oriented, trauma-informed approach incorporating a parts work method called Ego-State Therapy. Hawley has training in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT)Terry Real's Relational Life Therapy and with The Gottman Institute. Hawley integrates a variety of therapeutic modalities and orientations in her work and has pursued education and training in areas such as clinical supervision, complex trauma, dissociation, eating disorders, mindful eating, self-compassion, mindfulness practices, comprehensive energy psychology, interpersonal neurobiology and attachment with Dr. Dan Siegel and others. She is also a Certified Jikiden Reiki Practitioner Shoden & Okuden (Level I & II). Hawley feels grateful that a transpersonal approach to psychotherapy naturally unfolded over time, with compassion and mindfulness becoming essential components of her practice. Hawley is especially inspired by the teachings of Thích Nhất Hạnh, bell hooks and John Welwood.

Hawley completed a year long Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Provider training program.  She does not offer Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy but can provide integration support for expanded states experiences.  She is currently exploring breathwork and communal healing practices.

Above all, Hawley enjoys helping clients connect with their inner wisdom for healing. She has found that a compassionate perspective of one's own journey provides an essential foundation for wellbeing in relationship with self and others.
